The historic Un Peso silver coin was minted from 1957-1967 and became the last circulating silver peso in Mexico before the coins were debased to copper nickel and finally to bronze and aluminum. The coin weighs 16 grams and features the portrait of Jose Morelos, a well-known hero of the Mexican War of Independence.
