This coin includes the original packaging as shipped from the mint.
The 2004 P Uncirculated Thomas Edison Commemorative Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the invention of the light bulb by Thomas Edison.
The obverse depicts Thomas Edison holding an experimental light bulb in his laboratory. Also included is the date, mint mark ‘in god we trust’ and ‘Thomas Alva Edison’.
The reverse of the coin features rays of light radiating from an 1879 light bulb along with the inscriptions, ‘125th Anniversary of the Light Bulb, 1879, 2004, United States of America, One Dollar and E Pluribus Unum’.
