Scotiabank
is one of the Big Five Banks in Canada and is the third-largest in
Canada when judged by deposits and market capitalization. The bank has a
long history that dates back to the founding of what was then known as
The Bank of Nova Scotia in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on March 30, 1832. The
bank has expanded and contracted over time, opening its first branch in
the United States in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1885.
Obverse
On
the obverse field of 1/4 oz Gold Scotiabank Rounds is a depiction of
the Scotiabank logo at the center of the round. This design element
includes the stylized letter S at the center with a globe at the center
of the letter. There are inscriptions around the design edge that
include Scotiabank three times, the logo three times, and the purity as
24K three times.
Reverse
The reverse face
of the Gold Scotiabank Round comes with the same central design element.
The Scotiabank logo is found at the center, with different inscriptions
around the edge of the field when compared to the obverse. On this
side, you will notice inscriptions around the design field of 1/4 oz 24
Karat, Fine Gold 999,9. and Valcambi Suisse. You will also find an
assayers stamp on this face of the round.
History
Founded
