1932/1933/ Poland. Silver 2 Zlote – 5&10 Zlotych ‘Queen Jadwiga’ Coins. 3pcs! Sold as a set.
These are from my fathers estate. I’m just now going through some coins that belonged to him. I dont know much about them but these look like they have been cleaned at least compared to his other coins .
Don’t know the ‘Grade’ just that they look cool.

A little ‘fun fact’ about the coins design.
The
artist that designed the coin (Antoni Madeyski), wanted to present an idealized image of the Polish
community and was inspired by the facial features an actress from the time Janina Żółtowska. For him, Janina represented perfect beauty. Due of the fact that the appearance of
Janina Żółtowska’s image is on the coin representing the Queen Jadwiga symbolically, many
people erroneously attributed this image to the Polish Queen.
