This 2017 Ukraine 1 oz. Silver Archangel Michael Coin is available for your collection in Gem Proof condition and features the Original Government Packaging (OGP). Each coin is struck on a 1 oz. .999 fine silver planchet. The issue has a face value of 1 Hryvnia and is backed by the National Bank of Ukraine. The reverse image on the coin depicts the Archangel Michael in a pose similar to his “Winged Victory” appearance atop the column in Independence Square in Kiev. It is a depiction from the Middle Ages featuring a sword and halo while Michael is dressed in the Roman fashion. Michael is the protector of Kiev, Ukraine’s largest city. The obverse image on the coin is the emblem of the National Bank of Ukraine. This seal shows the Ukrainian flag between two winged lions with shields atop columns.
